Hugely impressive collection of paintings from the 14th to the 18th centuries, housed in Leo von Klenze's 1836 building in the Italian Renaissance style — one of several prominent art museums in the Kunstareal (art district). Includes works by Altdorfer, Grünewald, Dürer, van der Weyden, Bruegel, Titian, Rembrandt and many other greats, including a more than generous supply of Rubens.
