Munich's Augustiner brewery situation is a bit messy and complicated, but the company's three key outlets are the very central and beautiful Augustiner Großgaststäetten and the beer garden/cellar-specific Augustiner-Keller [see entries], plus the Bräustuben, home of the actual brewery since 1895. Here at the Bräustuben you'll find the same delicious food (Wurst, sauerkraut, pork knuckle etc), but at a cheaper price, as is the beer, served from wooden barrels (another reason for the popular pull of this location). The restaurant didn't open until 1994, and the visually striking room once housed the brewery's horses used for beer deliveries. Opens daily 11am, with hot food from 11am.
