Café Rubin (Closed Permanently)
Friendly and gay restaurant and lounge
Rubin means 'ruby' in English, and this suitably very red bistro is situated just down far from Sendlinger Tor, at the 'entrance' to Munich's gay ghetto. The menu's Euro-friendly, and drinking and lounging are not frowned upon. Popular and not pricey. Opened 2006. In January 2014 the two gay men behind this enterprise took over nearby café-bar Kr@ftAkt and changed its name to Kraftwerk [see entry]. Closed Sunday. Café Rubin closed for good late 2017.

Nice sausage
Great Serbian food. Bar is leading by gay couple. The Bosnian sausage must be the biggest one in the Munich area. Check it.
